Staff are brilliant! There’s little they could do to speed up a busy day except maybe get people to park a little better in the recycling area itself as sometimes there’s a few extra cars could get in safety. Longer hours in summer would be good especially when the weather is gardening crazy

Staff were excellent. There is no cooking oil recycling point. There is a lack of accessible food oil disposal infrastructure in Sheffield. This site doesn't take chemicals, but they hold them for transfer to another site - I wanted to safely dispose of sink-unblocker, air freshener, fertiliser and ant-killer (items left in my house by the previous tenant that I wouldn't use because of the toxicity). The site was able to take these and I hope they are carefully disposed of. I am relieved to see textile recycling for duvets and mattresses. However, items like a suitcase are sent to the energy recovery center to be incinerated rather than taken apart and recycled. The general waste was brimming which is a reflection of our wasteful culture related to insufficient product design as well as consumption practices. The site was tidy, organised and the staff were diligent.
