This company is a shambles. I’m not sure how they’ve managed to get good reviews. I had a dreadful experience with this company from cleaners failing to show up and being charged, to cleaners breaking things or not actually cleaning anything. I had one of their cleaners who was verbally aggressive and another who would lock herself in the bathroom and just send texts all morning. I’m Heavily pregnant so I initially instructed Shiny house cleaning to lift the stress of cleaning. They created more stress for me. The customer service is rude and unprofessional. When I complained about one of their aggressive cleaners they defended her and told me that she’s just like that. No apology or acknowledgement. That same cleaner nearly broke our front door. There seems to be a weekly turnover of staff at this place so you never know what cleaner you’re going to get in any week. Some of their cleaners are also alarmingly young too. I did ask one cleaner how old she was but she couldn’t understand English so we requested a change in cleaner. Most of their cleaners don’t understand English which made communicating what we needed done really challenging and so mistakes were made, things were broken or rooms just weren’t cleaned at all. Their website is deceiving in that they pride themselves on being reliable, always delivering to a high standard and being a company that truly shines. I have never been 100% satisfied with their cleaners and when I have complained and asked for someone reliable, and able, they’ve always been a disaster. They did offer a free clean on two occasions and each time I requested the same cleaner, they would make an excuse that the cleaner had left the country or had an unwell relative so no longer worked for them. In the short space of time using this company we’ve had over 7/8 different cleaners. It’s just been a mess! I have since decided to use another company and would encourage others to do the same. They charge £20 per hour and I really have not seen any value in using them. Only constant disappointment. Appreciate they have lots of good reviews so perhap my experience was the unfortunate exception but I would strongly think about using shiny house cleaning. You will only be disappointed. The aim of the company is that you have a regular cleaner but they will also endeavour to supply a replacement should your regular cleaner is on holiday or sick. My regular cleaner is excellent, professional and completely trustworthy. Communication by phone or email is excellent. I highly recommend this company. I've been using SHC since January 2021. My gf and I couldn't be happier with the quality of service from Lina, our weekly cleaner, and from the operations team. We'd tried a few places before we found SHC and I'm so glad we found them eventually. Lina is amazing, she really cleans not just wipes down, and she takes into consideration any special requests we have from time to time. I've never used a cleaner before Shiny House Cleaning because I was uncomfortable about a stranger being in my house or that they would not be able to clean to my standards. Natasha has been cleaning my house now every other week for around 4 months and I can't live without her now! She is always on time and has never not turned up! She also does a great job and welcomes feedback if I like something done differently. I signed up with Shiny House because it was recommended by one of the mums in a mum group that she had been using them for 10 years, which finally gave me the push to use them.
