Today, with my business Immersive Theatres, I delivered a 7m digital planetarium experience to 220 Year 5 to Year 11 pupils at Sherfield School. I was warmly welcomed by the staff and found the hall prepared just as I had requested. The day was well organised with all groups arriving as scheduled. The excited but well-behaved students enjoyed a rich selection of content: peering up at the planetarium night sky; discovering where the atoms in our bodies come from; what modern astronomers do; how British scientists search for real aliens; the composition of our galaxy, and the size of the Universe. Thank you Sherfield School for a very pleasant visit ✨

Fantastic school, my child has been in the nursery since he was 13 months old and will be joining the main school in reception year this September. Staff are really engaged and approachable, facilities are fantastic and the adaptability the school has demonstrated throughout the COVID challenge is nothing short of amazing. The headmaster Nick Brain is very engaged with staff, children and parents and always around for a chat if needed. The prep school head Berna Bouwer has a fantastic approach and maintains a very close relationship with the kids in the junior years, I have often seen little ones run up to her to say hello and give her a hug. Children at Sherfield are happy to be there throughout the school, they are enthusiastic and have anhigh level of participation in the many activities on offer. The school has a real sense of community and communication with the parent group is fantastic with weekly news letters and zoom calls for specific events.

Our daughter has been at Sherfield School since she was six months old. Now fast approaching her teens she has grown into a kind, enthusiastic and conscientious student under Sherfield’s guidance. We are truly grateful to Sherfield’s teachers especially during these difficult times for their hard work and dedication to delivering an online timetable, ensuring our child’s education was not disrupted for a single moment. The teachers care about the students and want them to succeed and are fully committed to helping them achieve their goals. Of course it’s not all hard work! Sherfield school boosts the most beautiful setting to learn, play and grow up in. With acres of green space, woodland and even a lake. There’s an abundance of extra curricular activities alongside a timetabled exciting enrichment programme. Whilst being an academically strong school sports enthusiasts will also be very much at home at Sherfield. Our daughter is extremely happy at Sherfield School and we are proud to be part of the Sherfield family. Sherfield School is far greater than just a school....come see for yourself!

I couldn't be more pleased with the nursery. They do so much with the children - daily walks, messy play, developmental activities and they clearly care a lot about them. They give you feedback and photos throughout the day and a written report at the end of the day. He is happy to be dropped off there and has come on leaps and bounds. The school has made such a positive impact on our lives compared to the last one. The staff, atmosphere and opportunities the children are given are second to none.

We have two children in the school with very different academic abilities and have been pleased with how the school has approached both their learning requirements. The enrichment program has been very well received and our children look forward to Friday afternoons when they can go 'off curriculum', learning a new skill, developing friendships and gaining a wider sense of the world around them - it really is a great addition to the week. No school ever gets everything right all of the time, just as all children have their ups and downs throughout learning. When needed to, we have been able to approach teachers and senior management to discuss any matters and have found them to be approachable and helpful and above all, open to constructive suggestions making us feel that we have a part to play in shaping the school. We have found the discipline, reward and recognition to be fair, opportunities to take part in sports and the arts very good. There is an air of respect and kindness and always smiling students and teachers! To date, we are very pleased with our choice, our children speak highly and proudly of attending Sherfield and we're very much looking forward to seeing the school continue to grow and prosper.
