My time at this college has been amazing, I’ve spent 2 years in public service with Patricia as my lecturer, she has helped me gain confidence and learn about things I didn’t know before, she has also helped me in moving forward to hopefully become a paramedic

Sheppey College, has to be one of the worst colleges I have ever attended. Once I was enrolled on my Uniformed Public Services Course I was handed a timetable which of course was the wrong one! I had notified the tutor (Who always seemed to be argumentative for no apparent reason, moody, sarcastic and often times rude.) she had handed me another one. And once again, the timetable was wrong. On multiple occasions I was unsure as to whether I was coming or going, the timetable would say I would be due in, once arrived I would be turned away. The equipment inside Uniformed Public Services, never seemed to have worked. The computers would always have a flat battery & there seemed to be an issue with the cloud save on the computers, so half the work you have spent hours on, typing, editing would be lost! The tutor of Uniformed Public Services, is extremely rude I have ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) I suffer mostly with speech, stutters, the teacher would often times belittle me, ie example Istaff type up a certain word and the teacher would then go "You wouldn't be able to say that" with a smirk on her face, she would at times interrupt me talking to another member of staff. I was notified in a call from the Tutor, that she & the headmaster had decided to let me go, which at the time was a miracle to me! Then shortly after I received a call from another staff member who revealed that there is a process before being expelled and that my tutor and the headmaster shouldn't have let me go. Now I'm no longer attending this college, I am attending a college in Sittinbourne where I am elated! The staff are actually friendly, clear on what tasks I have to complete. I'm not cut off or made fun of and the technology actually works! My advice would be, for adults, parents & teens who are considering being enrolled on a course at Sheppey College to seriously reconsider it. My advice for the staff at the college is to work on their people skills, get proper training! Technology that actually works!
