    Just awful experience in general. Attempted to speak to Shell Energy on So Many Occasions on behalf of my elderly Parents who were struggling to give readings, The property had a smart Meter but it didn't work, You seem unable to achieve anything unless You have the APP. This seems to be invite only as We could not get a password reset, Called the Helpline And I clearly got Africa, I genuinelycould hardly understand the poor girl who was clearly working of a script and couldn't handle deviation, 3 days, 3 days to sort an engineer visit as the booking system was unworkable at her end! over an hour on the phone, first booking offered in 1 week! fantastic, system error... she called me next day we went through the whole process again only to now be offered a month to wait.. ok..system crashed again! a day later another call and finally (I hope ) booked but now 2 months away!. Shell, You quite simply are the very worst energy provider I think I have ever encountered, Your systems are awful, Your Online APP is atrocious, Your call Handlers are sadly not fit for purpose, The stress You have put two elderly customers through is simply disgraceful, All manner of problems with overbilling when they took over the property, Engineers arranged to come that don't.. Have a call centre that's fit for purpose in the country you serve, I felt unable to discuss more complicated issues as I simply didn't think the handler would understand Me, and that's not racist as I am not, It took 4 attempts to confirm an email address.. Utterly frustrating company, Go elsewhere if you can! And it continues… despite an email apologising. 3 days spent arranging an engineer visit to book a smart meter install to help my parents, all booked eventually. Guess what…. They didn’t turn up!!! No apology. No notification. Nothing!! Can this company actually provide any worse service! Shell Energy You are simply the worst energy provider I have encountered. Would simply love to give You the zero stars you deserve! Sort your customer service out!

    Worse Internet provider I've ever had to deal with. Honestly hands down like doing a deal with the devil!. Which thus deal has now cost me basically a 100 points of my credit score!!!. If you need broadband I'd recommend Premier Inn free WiFi before touching this company. Unless being conned and treated like dirt is your type of thing.

    Awful company bad customer service no compassion for their customer situation my bill has sky rocketed every month since joining this company they seem to think its ok to continually increase my direct debit and have the cheek to say to me well obviously your using alot of gas , absolutely disgusting I would stay clear of this company they are profiting and dont care for their customers I will be moving suppliers after horrendous , shocking and quite frankly emotional experience knowing the Financial struggle im facing terrible from them not to acknowledge that .

    Said they would help me due to my disability but whacked me with a £500 bill now I can’t pay anything to get sorted and they keep adding £100 every month to it in now £1000 in debt with them and they have destroyed my credit history. They cut us off even though we were priority customers due to my disability… after 48 hours of complaining we got back on. They promised they would help me with a charity but it never happened. Fed up of it and don’t know how to get out of this mess.

    Worst company ever! Thankfully I switched about 3 years ago, but unfortunately my mother stayed with them. She kept receiving sky high bills. She's an elderly customers who lives on her state pension. Luckily I've switched her over to another company but Shell have landed her with a bill for a grand!! Disgusted!

    I’d give minus stars if I could. Awful company avoid them at all costs. I had to go the ombudsman about them. I won my case. They appealed and still I won my case. They caused untold amounts of grief and stress and really affected my mental health. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere.

    Shell energy lie to customers, operators in the call centre can't understand English, they do not respond to complaints their customer service is the worst I have come across. Yes shell energy you are liars, you have said there is nothing you can do about smart meters that do not communicate, it is widely known that replacing old smart meters with new ones solves the problem and you know this.I have tried to communicate verbally in English which is my first language with people in your call centres and I could not understand them and they could not understand me. Perhaps instead of insisting that I private message you via facebook, you could respond to the many emails I have sent to you using your correct complaints procedure.

    Unfortunately I was an customer of First Utility back in 2016 and as soon as Shell Energy took over the shambles began. They had mixed up meter readings and were charging me for the wrong gas meter which ended up my account going into default due to myself not willing to pay an bill that was incorrect. I paid off Shell Energy in the end just to leave them however even after I switched to EDF (best decision I ever made) they claimed I owed them money. Well obviously they recorded it as and default and its the only blemish on my perfect credit score. I have asked for them to review the case as of 14/04/2023 to remove the default from my credit profile which they apparently do not even have access to the information, no surprise there when they have not an clue who is using what meter. Anyway I am awaiting an response if I ever get one but please take my warning and do not use Shell Energy. Shell have responded amd requested my account number which is 2288231. Date of experience: 14 April 2023
