I quite like Sheldon Square 👍. It is a tidy and clean space close to the canal with neatly cut grass 🌱 , lots of seating options and a few restaurants 🍽🍷, shops 🛒🥪☕️🍪 and even a gym 💪. Especially when it’s warm and the sun is out ☀️, Sheldon Square is a very popular lunch spot 🌯🍛 for the many people working in the surrounding office buildings 🏢. Sometimes, not very often though, there’s even a band or a solo artist playing over the lunch break 🎤. There also used to be street food traders, but since around mid 2020 the regular street food stalls seem to have moved to Merchant Square 🚶♂️. The square regularly remains busy late into the evening 🍾. When sports events like Wimbledon 🎾, the Olympics 🏟, the FIFA World Cup ⚽️ or the UEFA European Football Championship 🏆 are on, there’s most of the time also a big screen set up to follow the action 📺. During the cooler and darker winter months, the square is in general much quieter .
