Fabulous experience every time I go. Gemma is absolutely amazing at what she does. Before going to the salon I had not had a massage before and was nervous about it, Gemma put me at ease with her friendly nature and knowledge/explaining what would happen. I am currently working my way through the list of treatments and always look forward to my next appointment with her.

Dont bother, she's rude and unprofessional, 1 client all day says it all.....no where to park and the woman who has the salon is very two faced. Talking about her clients behind their back.

This Hairdressing salon is absolutely awful. Firstly there is nowhere to park. The salon front door steps are straight onto a busy road. The lighting is too dark to see the hair colours properly. The salon is cold and draughty with a cold slate tiled floor. They also keep the front door open, and it’s noisy from the busy traffic. The decor is mismatched and very dark and gloomy. The reception desk is in a very awkward place. When I first went in they didn’t even greet me and I didn’t know what to do with myself. I took my coat off and stood near the door just holding it and waiting for ages to be acknowledged. When I did eventually get seen to, I wasn’t shown any colours at all. I usually have colour and highlights but Harriet told me she didn’t have time for both. So I just had my roots done. I then had to wait for the heater, because there was only one which was already in use. Then I had to wait for a sink to have my colour washed off, because somebody else was sat there and the girl who washes hair had gone off somewhere. It was dark in the salon, so I couldn’t see my colour properly whilst I was there. When I got home I could see it didn’t match at all with my ends. I was mortified and had to go to another salon and pay again to have it rectified. When I first arrived The stylist and owner Harriet was doing another ladies hair, but she just ignored me and carried on with her work. During my visit I noticed the stylists have to carry the colour trolleys up and down a flight of stairs every time they do a colour. Which is very awkward and cumbersome and time consuming for them. I also overheard one of the stylists complaining they are underpaid by the owner Harriet. This Harriet claims she is a colour expert, but she personally refuses to give clients a full head of foils and will only do partial or half head at the most and charges a fortune. Her other younger trainee stylist might offer full head highlights, but I wanted a senior experienced stylist to do my hair. My colour was not only mismatched after Harriet did my hair but also dry and damaged. It started breaking off afterward. I was so upset. I would never go back again. Harriet didn’t concentrate on my hair at all and just persisted to chat on about herself and her relationship problems with her Sister. Who apparently used to be her business partner, but fell out with her and left to set up elsewhere. My friend also went to Harriet for highlights and had an awful experience. She Just did a few highlights when my friend had asked for full head and got charged a fortune just for that. She also complained her hair felt dry and horrible afterwards. Then I spoke to another person, a neighbour of mine who went and they said Harriet doesn’t do your hair how you like. Her skills are too limited. She’s just not versatile enough at hairdressing skills. The thing is she harps on about having worked for Tony and Guy, but that’s not such a good thing. Anyone who has experience of Tony and Guy knows they only let their staff do one type of service. So if they colour they aren’t allowed to do cutting and if they are a cutter they don’t do colour. They also only have a limited number of styles they will offer. Which explains why Harriet’s skills are so limited. I had a friend who went to work for Tony and Guy and she had to literally retrain in hairdressing after she left there. Her skills were so limited. The other thing I was appalled about was I saw Harriet take the customers tips off her other trainee stylist and keep it for herself. I asked the trainee if they share their tips and she told me Harriet doesn’t let her keep any at all. She is not only a bad hairdresser but very mean to her staff. Service: Hair coloring
