I went in yesterday with my wife to do our weekly shop of meat and fish. I ordered at the meat counter 2 mutton shoulders and the chap who served me asked whether that was it, i replied yes, unbeknown to me his colleagues in the meat section heard this. A few minutes later my wife remembered a poultry item our children are fond of and so i proceeded to order it again with the same chap as the other two were busy chatting and drinking tea right infront of us, without even bothering to ask whether we needed assistance (common courtesy dictates, they should at the very least acknowledge our presence, but they happily chose to ignore). The chap who served me earlier was finishing up serving someone else and looked surprised that i had come back again, but said nothing, the other two Quipped " did he not order 2 shoulders earlier, cant he not be bothered ordering in one instance", my wife heard their chatter even though it was in their language she understood them perfectly as do many bengalis.. she only told me of this at the payment counter as she was clearly upset by their rudeness. I told her i would complain to the managers, the brothers who run the store, the girl at the counter heard this too... my wife told me to leave it as she did not wish to cause a scene and said the bloke who said this whilst sipping his tea was always rude, bad tempered and ill mannered. I find it preposterous that such basic ettiquettes of customer service is lacking in some people. The majority of shoppers in this store are bangladeshi, indeed many of my relatives, friends and immediate family shop here from as far afield as Worcester and kidderminister, to demean and be rude in a language we are all too familiar with is just infuriating. I have been going to this store for the past 20 odd years out of respect to the father of these brothers whome opened it years ago, a wonderful man may Allah swt grant him the highest maqam in Jannah.. but these louts need to learn the very basics of customer service before being allowed to interact with customers. This was not even in the middle of the day that they should be so tired and sour in their attitude... i kindly request managent to have a quiet word with staff as i fear such attitudes will deter customers and whome will choose to take their business elsewhere. Had i come several times to the counter and ordered on several separate occasions maybe the odd quip could have been overlooked... but in the real world customers are allowed to remember items and order at THEIR convenience... NOT at the convenience of the staff. Thank you

One stop shop for all your Asian groceries and meat. This shop sells lamb, mutton, beef and chicken, freshly cut to how you want it. It has a large selection of Bengali fish (frozen) and fresh Bengali fruits and vegetables. I just buy things from here for my family but they can cater for businesses too. Good quality for good prices, highly recommended!
