My mother has been a resident at Shedfield Lodge for over 2 years now. She has been fully supported with her different stages and journey of dementia and totally looked after. She is happy and settled and both the staff and management have been amazing with all the different challenges that they had to face in the pandemic and day to day residential care and needs of others. They are always transparent with my mothers care plan and needs and excellent communication with family members helping to put our minds at rest. They truly treat my mother as part of the family and always help look after well being for family members too. I would always highly recommend Shedfield Lodge they have been amazing since the day my mother moved in to the home

Mum has been living here for about 3 years. Alicia Taskis the manager and her team have been fantastic with their standards and level of care. During COVID they went to considerable length to keep residents safe, even some staff camping in the grounds. Sadly Mums dementia has been progressing but the staff handle these challenges with care and professionalism. The home itself does have high end residents, but everyone of them receives high quality personnel care. As a family we have been so pleased with the way we have been treated, but more importantly the way Mum has been cared for in challenging circumstances. Thank you

Shedfield Lodge is an outstanding care home. My father has been there for two years now and the staff look after him exceptionally well. They really get to know their residents individually and treat them with the utmost respect and kindness. I am always consulted about any decisions regarding him and find the whole team very approachable and helpful. From my point of view they go above and beyond what I would expect and I cannot fault them in any way.

The Manager (Alicia Taskis) and her husband tried to intimidate me whilst I was trying to get visitation to see my father & they got a staff member to say I was intimidating on the phone earlier that day (which was a lie) and the husband started filming me without my permission so I filmed them back to cover myself incase they made up more lies and after talking to my brother on the telephone I simply left. I would like to clarify that my father has been in this private care home for approximately 2 years now. People I just went to visit my poor dad as I couldn't go to visit in the early part of lockdown disgraceful and that manager and her husband should not be in the job that they are doing. Would give no stars if it would let me. I believe the reason for their behaviour was previously on visits to see my father I'd raised concerns directly to the manager regarding my fathers room smelling of an unclean room and urine on the floor in his bathroom not being clean and the smell of urine was overbearing at times plus I turned up randomly before the pandemic and a lot of the times the staff had not gotten him up and he was still in bed at 3pm in the afternoon totally unacceptable in my opinion. I found the manager lady very pleasant until I raised these concerns her behaviour changed towards me instantly. This home is in the middle of nowhere and there seems to be no one checking on these vulnerable residents other than the staff (who some of them don't speak very clear English) and this not very nice arrogant manager and her husband seem to be a law until themselves I'm afraid to say. On my visits to this private care home most of the residence looked heavily sedated which isn't how someone should finish their Twilight years. (Please do not send your loved ones to this place while this manager (Alicia Taskis) and her husbands are in charge). I apologise if my reading and writing is not the best as I suffer from dyslexia. Who ever replied "below" to my very honest review of my experiences of (Sheffield Lodge) I'm already seeking legal advice so don't think you can intimidate me in this manner.

Staff are amazing and mum has had great care there. Her room is lovely and the setting with beautiful gardens are wonderful too. They have Covid safety measures in place and a summer house for visiting. A care home which really cares. Can't recommend highly enough and I know my siblings feel the same.

My Mum has been with Shedfield Lodge for just over 2 months and I can honestly say that these have been the best 2 months since she was admitted to hospital last year. As a family, we feel that Mum is being kept safe and her needs are being well met. All the staff are extremely caring and respond to the needs of family, too; they are very approachable and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. The home is very effective and - from the word go - we have all been involved in decisions about Mum's care, ensuring that she has a good quality of life. We are very impressed with the leadership at this home; senior staff, managers and owners, alike, are all involved with the day-to-day caring aspects of their residents and - as a result - have a good understanding of how to maintain a caring environment.
