Happen to be passing by the other day and stopped to grab some of their one time famous ‘sherpuri’ doner kebabs. Haven’t been in a few years… The interior decor & whole layout has changed massively. Looks tired, so it’s been a while but it’s much better than the old layout. Same people still running it. So that initially seemed like a good sign. This place used to be a favourite of mine years ago. Would go there for some delicious food with friends whenever I was nearby. Reminiscing over… On to the important bit, the review! I ordered one of their sherpuris with fries in addition to a few other things. The sherpuri I’m saddened to say failed to meet expectations. Tasted nowhere close to what they used years ago. Lacked the unique flavour. The other items I ordered were okay but nothing wow. The customer service wasn’t there like before either. Member of staff who served me seemed like he was fed up with life. Don’t think I’ll be returning any time soon.

The place does not feel welcoming nor bothered about cleanliness as the seats were in desperate need of a good wipe. Donner kebab on naan was highly recommended at the till so had to give it a try before I was to cry. It was nothing but donner kebab fried in an awfully hot chilli sauce hurriedly garnished or shall I say horridly garnished and tossed on a naan. Taste resembled swallowing a table spoon of hot chilli sauce with a bit of naan. I was brave and took another bite then called the owner over who declared it is their milder version and walked off with pride. After being told it was not edible, he then took it only to return it mixed with sweet chilli sauce Imagine opening the radiator cap of an overheated car and try to cool it with warm water. Bravely took another bite and told him we cannot eat this anymore. I don’t know how long this chilli factory has been running but their customer service is surely not as hot as their saucy donner. No apologies or an alternative offered just took some money off the bill so if you’re in the mood for food so hot that burns on both entry and exit then this is the place for you.
