    worried about potential scam or incredibly small bank. desperate to hold onto my funds. Did not give me a cooling off period and did not make this clear to me when taking out a bond. Same woman dealing with customer services and complaints and making decisions which seems unprofessional and a conflict of interest. No official process at all. update - finally had an email from a manager although he just copied and pasted a template to me and didn't even fill in my name in the missing space.

    Repossess the whole portfolio of houses for paying a single day late... Then they sold as fast as they could as cheap as they could... I requested one property my wife built for my daughter. Do you think they saved it? No gave her a check for the money, well half the value obviously they sell your house half price to their brother-in-law.

    Impossible to contact Shawbrook Online by phone. I have tried several times and started at 25 in the queue. On each occasion after approx 120 mins I reached number 2 only to be told to leave a message or hang up. I sent several secure messages via online account asking for a representative to call me. left landline and mobile to ensure they had plenty of options to reach me, they did not respond. Impossible!

    Impossible to contact Shawbrook Online Accounts by phone recently. I have tried 3 times and started at 21 in the queue. On each occasion after approx 50 mins I reached number 2 only to be told to leave a message or hang up. Grrrrrrr. I sent a Secure Message via online account, they did not respond. They do not seem to have a. generic email address. I sent Special Delivery letter by Royal Mail….it was “re-directed” to I know not where. As I said impossible!

    Happy customer; would recommend for property development loans (which I believe was their original loans area). I took out a regulated bridging mortgage to cover the purchase of a property, while I refurbished it, before I could approach a high street lender for a typical mortgage. I ran into difficulties with a obscure planning issue, though the refurbishment itself was done on time. Shawbrook appreciated the delays in the remortgaging, due to these planning issues, were outside of my control and couldn't have been predicted. They extended the term of my bridging loan to accommodate these delays (though they were within their rights to say no) which was a massive relief. And in return I paid the interest for the extension up front. I really appreciated their understanding with what was a very obscure issue and their support. It really helped with the stress levels and that's why I only have positive things to say about this bank in relation to their property bridging loans and associated teams.
