Attempted to attend here with 2 female friends. As a male they were happy to accept my custom (the bar weirdly only had male attendees down stairs) but refused to let my female friends in because they were "intoxicated" - which they weren't. The bouncer insisted we had been in the area 3 hours earlier and they were both seen to be staggering around, but I was perceived to be sober. This was odd as we hadn't been in that part of town between the hours he had accused us of being there? A case of mistaken identity I am sure, as the initial bouncer we saw was happy to let us in until his colleague intervened. Most disappointing from the bouncers of such a well established bar?

First time of visiting this place. Great energy , very loud but really good if you love sports and pool/snooker. However a few negatives I would like to mention. The toilets are way far down or up depending where you are in the building (almost as bad as a wetherspoons) but much, much cleaner. I don't like that the upper floor does not have beer on a tap so you have to go back down the stairs unless you want a bottle and lastly £3 for a jaģerbomb which is the same price as a shot of Sourz.... think someone needs to rethink that. My partner also got a membership card for the year but we had to reserve a seat with a £50 deposit? Surely being a member he shouldn't have to do this. We will no doubt be back in Sharkeys soon enough even with my feedback and I would definitely encourage people to go along because everyone's opinions are different.

The service provided by Jake was different class.🙌 From the moment we walked in we felt welcome. Jake took the time to explain everything from booking a table for pool, to getting the best value for drinks. Even though the result I had against a friend in pool didn't go my way, I still felt that I had a good time due to Jake's commitment. 👍
