Ok, the story is quite interesting...but...the original tree died long ago & was replaced 100 years later, on April 23, 1964, by actor Dame Edith Evans at a smaller event organised by Society for Theatre Research. The Royal Parks Agency provided a plaque but that went missing very quickly and the RPA now have a no-plaque policy for trees, for this very reason. People come and try to find, but there are too many trees )))

I strongly disagree with the bad tempered guy from France! It is a beautiful tree with beautiful leaves. I had a really good time with the tree and will never forget about this tree. It deserves it 5 stars and everyone who thinks differently is really not getting the vibes of shakespeares tree. Love you, tree!

Despite the fact that the tree is a plant of exceptional quality whose beauty is matched only by the park that surrounds it. The bucolic warmth that this place exudes is nevertheless altered by this tree that hides the view. A little disappointed.

Not easy to spot which tree, but I suppose this is the one. Adding an extra feature to this beautiful hill and park.
