I saw Mr Siddiqui at the Shard hospital in London. I had previously had a fantastic colorectal surgeon who did pile removal which helped my pain but felt there was one left over as I am experiencing pain and itching. Mr Siddiqui said before inspecting me that it wouldn't be a haemorrhoid as internal haemorrhoids don't hurt of itch!! From personal experience I know this is not the case and so do Anusol! He also said he doesn't bother with surgery now and my issue was likely a muscle issue due to an ELE (Early life experience) - embarrassed I just went along with it. He said I would need a telescopic exam. I was given a date and told 9AM. I confirmed with his secretary it would be at the Shard and she conformed. I arrived at the Shard on the day at 11am the time printed on my letter. The nurses at the Shard seemed confused as I didn't seem to be on the list and while waiting for this doctor London Bridge Hospital called me asking where I was, apparently I should have been there at 9am even though the letter says 11am. Oddly Mr Siqqiqui was actually taking clinic at the shard anyway and was there so walked over to London Bridge hospital with me. We went through a hole procedure and I was told it was what I said it was a haemorrhoid. A week later I asked if I could have a Zoom appointment instead of coming to the Shard and was told this was ok. I never received a Zoom link and just a phone call which laster 30 seconds saying it was ok and nothing needed to be done. I was shocked at this short call that I was charged £250 for! I wrote to his secretary and told her I would like the haemorrhoid removed. I was told to come to the Shard for another £250 appointment!!!! I told her I was not prepared to pay again when my last appointment lasted 30 seconds. I asked for the photos and exam results and what I received bares no resemblance to what I saw on the screen. I would avoid this doctor at all costs!! I feel like the whole thing was an elaborate scam to get appointments and unnecessary exams which weren't needed with my previous surgeon who sadly retired. I am reporting him to my insurance company and will have to see someone else to get this issue fixed.

Mr Siddiqi is without doubt, one of the most intelligent and talented Consultants that I have ever met. He is always in my experience willing to "Try that little bit harder" to ease the suffering of his patients and improve the quality of their lives. He is incredibly passionate about his particular field of expertise and is also both a charming and polite man who is exceptionally easy to get on with. He listens to his patients with real empathy in my experience.
