I was visiting Glasgow last week (from Chicago) and had a list of four aikido dojos I was hoping to visit during my stay, if all things worked out well. Unfortunately, I was only able to visit two of them; however, I was very fortunate that one of them was Senshin Dojo. Though my visit was unexpected by them (bad planning on my part, for which I do apologize for!), they were very welcoming and open to allow me to practice with them. A big "thank you" to the students I practiced with! Sensei Rob Brew was especially welcoming, amply demonstrating his aikido and helping me to further explore the nuances and strengths of his own dojos' incorporation of Ikeda Sensei's interpretation of aikido. I am now safely back in sunny! Chicago (sorry, Glasgow!) and have a class tonight at my home dojo. I'm sure they will be asking me to demonstrate what I learned in faraway Scotland. I hope that I can do some small justice to what Sensei Rob Brew taught me in our all too brief two hour class. Once again, thank you from Chicago.1.....Jim Sawers
