Had a wasted ride out to Ashton under Lyne today expecting to find this guitar shop open as advertised online. Imagine my disappointment when I arrived and found this guitar store locked and not looking like a retail shop at all . The owner had placed a polite note on the door saying that the shop is in fact only open by appointment only. No contact phone number, just an email address for enquiries. It's my conclusion that this is more storage than a traditional guitar shop and as such you can't just pop in and try out something that you may have your eye on. This business is setup as an online retailer with the emphasis on buy unseen and return within 30 days if not entirely happy. With second hand equipment I believe that try before you buy is the best approach and I believe it's important for businesses not mislead customers in to thinking there is a physical store that a be visited. Can I suggest the business owner update their Google listing to more accurately reflect how the business operates? I could have saved myself a 90 minute round trip and the business owner lost a sale.
