A lovely museum that has many wonderful species if you are into rocks and fossils. It’s not a big museum like Fitzwilliam, but it has more than enough to see including some exciting animal fossils as well as a section dedicated to Charles Darwin’s collection of rocks in his younger years. My personal favourite is the minerals and gemstones, many different type of specimens on display and is wonderful to see them in its raw form. I visited on a Monday and is not too busy. Staff is friendly and very helpful with information. Highly recommended 💕

Had a fantastic visit the the Sedgwick Museum with my wife and 12 year old son. As a wheelchair user and the building being old I didn't expect to see all the specimens, but Matt from the Sedgwick museum was brilliant and helped us to access the museum and gave us a guide with key for 2 small lifts as the exhibit floor as it has a couple of steps. Matt even help my 12 year old find a fossil that had the same name as my lad. Thanks to Matt and the Sedgwick for being so accommodating.
