Wow, the black pudding scotch egg is to die for. Seriously, get one. One of the best. For a small place the fries game is topnotch; crispy & crunchy no sogg in sight! The owner is a good lad with great chat too. This little cafe is cute and cosy, but I usually bump into these guys in their street food van outside Brew By Numbers taprooms (both Morden wharf & bermondsey).

Nice NZ pies, but probably wouldn’t go out of my way for them. Much better pies than the ones here in London though.

Staff were nice and friendly. But overall I was very disappointed by the pies, specifically the pastry. Weirdly tasted sweet and texture wasn't right. I think they used the wrong pastry on the bottom. It was definitely not puff pastry. You couldn't eat it with your hands as it quickly fell apart, you need knife and fork. The top half seemed mostly normal although had pepper on and it wasn't steak and pepper. Everyone says this is like home but only the filling was on point. Anyways don't bother ordering if you're expecting a BP type pie. Didn't try anything else. They had tiny lamingtons no cream, thin slices of lollycake. I saw them making savoury scones. Maybe if I go back I'll try the scones. They have L&P 😃. Sorry wish I had nicer things to say but it just wasn't the same.
