My grandmother (93) was a resident at Seabrook Manor in 2017 following a stroke and during her stay they mishandled her whilst moving her from her bed and broke her arm. She suffered greatly and then finally passed away. It was identified that a contributing factor to her death was dehydration. This was despite me putting up multiple posters in her room saying that she struggles to indicate that she's thirsty and they need to ask her/offer her water. I even gave them key phrases in our language that they could use with her. It's been a few years since the incident and her passing but as a family we are still very traumatised by the experience. I cannot recommend to anyone that they put a loved one at Seabrooke. As my mum said, 'placing her there was a death sentence'.

I had a terrible experience in Seabrook manor care home. I had been called for an interview for the position of care support worker. First of all I had a very hard time getting there because of getting lost and it took me 40 minutes to walk all around and then finally I was in. After that I Was called to the interview room and then they asked for my passport and visa which I was not carrying . They claimed that they have mailed me to get them but I got no mail except one which was completely blank. When I showed it to them that it was clearly blank and the address typed was wrong in that she was not ready to admit . I requested to conduct interview and I was ready to do all documentation later but they just asked me to leave without an interview . It is horrible that despite of no mistake I wasted my 3 hrs and energy, money and it was of no use. At least they could have interviewed me because I did not get any mail saying I should get my passport . No one carries passport with them all the time. It was my horrible afternoon. The administrator was Denise who was in charge .
