This owner doesn't understand the reality of looking after a baby so I don't understand how she can run kids shop. I was ordering shoes over instagram chat but I could feel she was really rushing me to complete the transaction. It didnt feel nice but I still wanted to go ahead and do business with her. After I chose what I wanted she asked me to pay right away but as my baby was hungry and teething at the time (it was midday) I told her I will pay her in an hour. She was very unpleasant about it. I was about 10mins late getting back to her and she sent a rude message and blocked me on Instagram! Does she even understand what a mother's life is like? I was furious. The shop looks beautiful and she carries lots of gorgeous stuff but she was so rude and didn't appreciate my situation at all. I will avoid this shop. I am always keen on small businesses and try to support them, but this lady's attitude really puts me off. It is outrageous that she would block a customer over something as trivial as this - being 10 minutes late to pay because my baby was crying. I think she doesn't have the right personality for a kids shop. I would avoid this shop if you have kids.

Such a delightful shop that we stumbled across on a small side street while strolling through the old town of Hastings. The owner was so welcoming, and the toys and children's clothing were outstanding quality and so lovely. I am checking now to see if they ship to the US : )

One Small Shop
