After a rigorous eye examination that was not rushed in any way I felt I had received a thoroughly professional level of service. The attention to detail was exceptional and was tailored to my specific needs of reading sheet music as well as computer work. Wow!!! Went for my first ever eye test about 3 weeks ago and one that lead me to be referred to hospital with High blood pressure. If it was not for Dr Omar and team i would not have know or better still i do not know what i would be today. I will for ever be grateful to the whole team for all the help given to me. Just went back for the eye test again and to tell thank the team for looking after me. I am all well. Please have your eyes tested it can help with your health. My children and I visited Allegro (Meltham) for our eye tests & I was blown away by the care & attention to detail we received. Because neither of my young children had been for an eye test before, Sheryl advised me to book myself in with their appointments to follow - so they could watch my appointment & it would take away some of the unknown for them. From the moment we walked in, to the minute we left, we felt welcome. Omar was excellent with the children. He explained everything he was checking for & was extremely thorough with the tests. And patience - he had so much patience with my 5 and 2 year old! They’d booked plenty of time for the appointments back-to-back so we weren’t rushed. Nothing was too much trouble, they have machines for specialised tests & the shop is lovely. Highly recommended 👍🏻

I’ve never had such a thorough eye examination, Omar explained all the procedures as he conducted the examination, and choosing glasses was made into a fabulous shopping experience. Sheryl had pre selected frames she thought would suit me, some very safe and some funky ones that I probably wouldn’t have even tried myself. As I selected and tried on various pairs, I felt i was getting an honest opinion on how they looked on me. I chose two pairs, neither of which I would have even considered had i been choosing them alone from a rack of frames in a typical High Street opticians. I love both pairs, both look cool and stylish and i feel confident and comfortable wearing them. I wasn’t rushed, was made to feel valued. Will definitely be returning to Allegro Optitions for any future eye appointments

Probably the most thorough, knowledgable and persistent in getting results opticians I have ever encountered! I went to Allegro Optical iniitally for musician's glasses. I really wanted to be able to see more when performing on stage and to be able to communicate with my duo colleague rathen than looking at a foggy outline or having to swap glasses all the time. Unfortunately, a retinal tear that developed immediately after I made my first appointment in 2020 and COVID getting in the way of everything, we had to work around many difficulties, none of which deterred the owner Sheryl Doe, who was determined to make me the best possible pair of glasses as close to the original brief as possible. And in April 2022 they did! I am the very happy owner of two fantastic pairs of specs, one verifocal and the other my "magic" pair for playing piano and working on computer. This was all possible thanks also to their new saccadic eye scanner which showed them exactly the kind of issues I had to struggle through when I was reading a score. The result is miraculous! I can see better, my eye is more relaxed, I am not getting a single headache from reading music or working on computer and as for my verifocals, it's like I am not wearing glasses, that's how comfortable they are! Allegro, Optical thank you! I would recommend to anyone but particularly if you are struggling with any eye issues or you want to be able to read music effortlessly. Superb service in every way!
