Gave Scottish building society 1 star but only because there was no option for 0 stars. I tried to transfer my Cash ISA from SBSand the process started in November 2021. In February 2022 they eventually decided that they would transfer the funds but to drag things out further they sent the funds to my new provider by cheque meaning no interest on funds for a month. Very disappointed. .

Before opening an account I rang to make sure that it would work in the way I intended. I was also told that the branch closes at 5pm. I then traveled across town, arriving at the branch at 4.40pm. The tills were already closing. A grumpy woman told me to come back another time. It also turned out that the information I was given on the phone was wrong - the account would not work in the way promised. Altogether I wasted two hours on this futile trip. The experience left me deflated for the rest of the evening. But I am glad that I did not put my money into this building society. They were so unreliable.
