FAQ

What is your organization's mission and how do you achieve it?

Our organization's mission is to protect animals and promote their welfare in Scotland. We achieve this by rescuing animals in need, providing medical care and rehabilitation, and finding them loving forever homes. We also work to educate the public about responsible pet ownership and the importance of animal welfare.

How do you ensure that the animals you rescue are properly cared for and find loving homes?

We have a team of dedicated staff and volunteers who provide round-the-clock care for the animals in our shelters. We ensure that they receive proper medical attention, nutritious food, and exercise. We also work with potential adopters to ensure that they are a good match for the animal and will provide a safe and loving home.

Can you provide examples of successful cases your organization has handled in the past?

Yes, we have had many successful cases in the past. One example is a dog named Max who was severely neglected and malnourished when we rescued him. With proper care and rehabilitation, Max was able to make a full recovery and find a loving forever home. Another example is a group of cats who were abandoned and left to fend for themselves. We were able to rescue them, provide medical care, and find them all loving homes.

How can individuals get involved and support your organization's efforts?

Individuals can get involved by volunteering at our shelters, donating money or supplies, or adopting an animal from us. They can also help by spreading the word about our organization and the importance of animal welfare.

What steps does your organization take to advocate for animal welfare laws and regulations?

We work with local and national governments to advocate for stronger animal welfare laws and regulations. We also participate in public awareness campaigns and work to educate the public about the importance of animal welfare. Additionally, we collaborate with other animal protection organizations to strengthen our advocacy efforts.

What a shame, the dog has been left outside and barking for over 2 hours and there is freezing weather, but after calling Scottish Animal Welfare few times, "nobody can take your call at the moment, please leave your message after the tone". It's a shame that they claim that they are available 24 hours.
