DISGUSTING TREATMENT! After three days into the cruise we were given less than half a days notice to pack up and change boats. The excuse was that the the water level was too low to operate the locks. Apparently we were told this was a well known situation that Scenic were familiar with but one that caused utter chaos. We were ‘bussed’ on an elderly coach for some three hours without refreshment to another boat that was of far lesser quality than the one we left. It was moored (hidden) in a stagnant part of the river that was a haven for mosquitos. We had to carry luggage without assistance some distance in undergrowth and dusty paths to reach the boat which although described as being identical to our previous boat - was missing a swimming pool! (and much more). The restaurant had the crackpot method of taking all the passengers orders before a single meal left the kitchen - and even then they got the orders wrong. Generally the waiting-on staff deserved applause for the way they managed to avoid doing their job - which it seemed they didn’t like! The bar staff appeared to resent customers and were unfamiliar with the variety of stock available. When we requested hot drinks whilst on the upper deck, we were told to go to a lower deck and serve ourselves?? 5 Star? - nearer 2 Spanner’s! Altogether an expensive and disappointing trip with Scenic who provided far less than promised. There’s so much more that we and many fellow passengers could criticise - and we’ll spread the word, but sufficient to say we’ll never travel Scenic again. M & A Stevens

Had a dreadful river cruise down Danube with Emerald. Just trying to get compensation through Courts. Scenic have defended our claim but have given details of a different claim in the name of a Mr. Prosser. How bad is that? Data Protection - they obviously don't know the meaning of the word. I now know all about Mr. Prosser's problems with this Company. Have tried every phone number I can find for Scenic or Emerald, even our Tour Operator has tried, but none of the phone numbers are connecting. Are they still operating? Be careful!!!! The date of this review is 14th December 2018.

We had a fantastic experience sailing down the Seine on the Scenic Gem. The facilities on board the ship were second to none and the staff could not have been more accommodating. That, combined with the phenomenal food and excellent excursions made for a superb trip! Thank you, Scenic!

We sailed down the Danube in July it really was superb. Gorgeous modern ship and just like a floating five star hotel. Everything really was included - all our excursions, tips, meals and the finest wines & beers. The food and dining options were first class too.
