Bought window boards recently, the postage cost more than the timber, 3 of the 4 boards were damaged, contacted Scawton, no response, left negative review on Ebay, which they subsequently removed. Poor service and poor timber.

Stevie’s Wood And Things

Was regular customer. Phoned up for a price for 15 cubic ft QB1 oak. Charged me MORE than advertised price. No recognition of regular customer I.e. discount and stated prices had gone up and web site hadn’t been updated. So much for customer loyalty. When received timber, quality was appalling. Half of each board was unusable due to splits and knots absolutely everywhere. We are talking about £650 of wood. Prior orders were ok. Use them but don’t EVER EVER complain!!!!!!! Best wood I received was the free pencil!!!
