I've bought a lot of Scarva products over the years. And a lot of them are very good. I've especially gone hard on their body stains. However, they are almost all advertised as firing to 1300 and I've had quite a number which simply burn out way before that temp. And stains are very expensive. Recently Scarva seem to have become an online only service, meaning you can no longer ring for technical advice. So I wrote to them, listing several stains I'd like to try and asking whether these would go to stoneware. I've heard nothing and it's been over two weeks now. The stains are all in the reds and pinks range, and those notoriously burn out. I'm simply not willing to spend around £100 on high risk stains with no technical advice. So I'm swapping my allegiance to Bath Potters, who are always on hand to give info. Their stain range is more limited, but at least it's safer.

As a university student access to Scarva posed an issue, however the team was very helpful in being able to ship the items I needed out which arrived quickly and very well wrapped. very impressed with service. Further to this, due to covid-19 I had to return some items as I no longer had the facilities to use them, they had no issue in returning them and very helpful both on the phone and via email. Will use again.

Having spent over €1100 at Scarva I would give them ten stars if i could. Exceptional customer service, this guy has responded to my queries even at 10pm at night. Unbelievably fast shipping, often only 3 days for my shipment. Superb quality products! Excellent choice of stock. The thing about google reviews is you could have a thousands perfect orders where people don't bother to leave a review but it just takes one mistake and people are so unforgiving these days that they jump at the chance to try and annihilate your company over probably a jar of glaze or something. This man probably has a family to feed, is it worth trying to annihilate him and ruin his business over a delayed order or a restocking issue? :\
