No stars . WARNING to prospective purchasers of apartments . Do check who is managing the complex & if it is Scanlans PM, think twice..check out the internal communal areas, bin storage etc carefully. They would not satisfactorly repair the leaking roof of our building & as a result we have rotten insulation in the attic space above, giving rise to damp & cracks on ceiling and walls in one of the bedrooms. They employ dodgy contractors , with no oversight. Remember leaseholders you pay for this deplorable 'management' in your annual service fee. With Scanlans in charge the value of the apartment has decreased.

Huge price hike in management services in one year £600. £1300 - £1900! Wouldn't mind if it was value for money but the two times I've asked for intervention in imposing tenancy/leaseholders agreement with regards to antisocial behaviour nothing has been done. Say to complain to council but of it is in agreement, they too have obligation. Spent a fortune on new electronic gate no one asked for. It hasnt 't been working in almost a year- wide open. We get lovely types coming in to park and enjoy their little silver aerosol things and take aways and throw them on ground. I was also treated to one urinating in front of me. I would sell up gladly but this lovely price hike will make it unsellable.

Whilst going through the sale of our property, it has been quite testing to obtain all information the buyers solicitors requested and yet, Anna Knowles at Scanlans has been absolutely brilliant in helping us, nothing is too much trouble for her and she went out of her way to answer a number of complicated queries that were raised. Scanlans operate in Birmingham and Manchester, but it's all the same people who answer the phone. Over 48 hours without heating and warm water. Absolutely horrendous management in every aspect. They have sent letters about how proud they are saving money on the heating pump for the building yet it’s failed over 4 times being left with no water on several occasions. Hallway was vandalised over several months ago and still has not been repaired. The carpets and general cleanliness is absolutely abysmal. Of course they have now lost the management contract to our building and since the “handover” began they’ve lost all interest at all, the bin stores a mess, they don’t respond to emails. Emergency signs missing for months, the lift apparently not fit for use in a fire yet no signage. All of the basics missed for months on end and no one doing anything about it. Scanlans make no effort to assist you as a leaseholder and only have their own achievements to comment on, which are few. One good thing, they do know how to say they’re very sorry for the inconvenience..
