Wonderful place for the family and sailing and angling enthusiast. Bird watching and On-site WC boat house shop in the summer. This is a seasonal club with on site parking which is chargeable. Highly recommended a visit with the family.

Great walk around the circular route it’s only 3mile but you can spend a lot of time looking for wildlife the dogs loved it once you get around the back the dogs can have a sniff around there are some beware of adders signs .. not sure if they still around with it cooling down . I can imagine it gets pretty muddy around the back of the dam but the front is all footpath if you want a quick walk

You would have got five had you warned the 2 mile path round the lake is only passable on the far side by a major detour away from the lake. What looks inviting for the first half of the walk is not for the faint hearted as it progresses and there are no signs to advise. Otherwise..you're great!!
