Received a laptop back from SBE Ltd on behalf of HUAWEI that was damaged whilst in transit on the way back to me. Insufficient packaging used by repairer to package the device. I reported to SBE Ltd by phone and they advised it’s not their responsibility, it’s HUAWEI‘s. This statement is factually incorrect. The device was in your care and you failed to sufficiently package the device to mitigate the risk of transportation damage on the return journey, I have reviewed your terms and conditions and there are a number of clauses that I never directly or indirectly agreed to. Sadly you don’t include in the terms and conditions how you will handle devices with care and take reasonable steps to mitigate transportation damage. I would be grateful if you would consider publicly responding to how are you not responsible for damage if you did not sufficiently package the item for its return journey.
