It was my first time visiting Sassoon Academy today but Alex (trainee) was absolutely wonderful. She made me feel at ease, listened carefully about what I wanted and did the most amazing job!! Highly recommend this salon and Alex! :) Thank you x

Absolutely disgusting experience!! My hair is curly and I was being made very clear (for everyone around to hear too) that my hair type is demanding, it's too much pressure for the students and that I was not welcome to come back. When I booked over the phone I asked if they were dealing with curly/ textured hair and they assure me to be all hair type inclusive. Horrified and never felt so embarrassed for hair that simply grows out of my head. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND !!

I had an amazing experience - Tom & Keith were great! My hair had a very bad cut that I thought there was no solution to fix it but they fixed it wonderfully! It exceeded my expectations! I was very impressed! Thank you very much😊

Answer emails or calls, as its impossible to get an appointment without being making on in person! Not sure what the reception lady is doing all day long.

This was the 4th time I’ve been to the VS academy as I’ve almost always had a great cut and when it once wasn’t I came back and it was fixed free of charge. But… this was my first time at this location as the previous school had closed during Covid. What an awful experience! They never answer the phone. Was finally able to book a slot and was shocked at the state of this place. It’s dark, dirty, messy and very unpleasant. I was happy to be seated with a young lady and an experienced teacher who was teaching during my previous successful sessions. I’ve discussed my haircut wants and even showed previous pictures of cuts I’ve got at the academy before. Well, she didn’t listen and has wasted her money on learning as she definitely didn’t gain a profession. She gave me the WORST haircut I’ve ever gotten in my life. It was cut way too short after explaining multiple times that I wanted to keep most of the length, the layers are terrible to non existent and I cannot wait for it to now grow which will take a year. I was given a lob when I specifically and clearly asked for long layers. I’ll never go back to this horrid place as even the small amount paid isn’t worth the heartbreak of having to deal with such a bad haircut. What a shame!

I went here after being scouted by their trainees. Reading the reviews I see they now charge models, but do the cut they want and not what is asked. Some trainees (and probably supervisors) don't speak English. And there is a culture of rudeness. Having real hair to practise on is a priviledge and being paid for this priviledge is a double luxury. So instead of teaching disrespect, try and teach genuine customer service. Otherwise the brand and your future careers are nothing. I will not visit due to the negative reviews and the common themes in those reviews.

They told me there was a seat for the creative cut with color for the next day, early in the morning. So I came here on time, though it was heavy rain outside. After waiting for a while, other customers joined the same project as me. However, because of limited space, I didn’t get the seat, but the other two girls got theirs, even though they came later than me, even not on time. I would suggest that you please start with the person who came here first next time and also check the availability the day before. I think it is more fair. I don’t want to think this is racist, but the girls who got the seats are white and I am not. The receptionists were nice, and they gave me a gift box as the compensation, so I am giving them 2/5.

Amelia did such a wonderful job !! They listened to what I have to say but haven’t promised a miracle as I was bleaching my dark roots. The end colour came out better than I expected. Thank you
