Had a fabulous 4 days of exploring London on Santander bikes. The app was easy, the support, routes, access was great. The bikes were east to cycle. They are quite solid and heavy and have gears (on the right handle side) which I only discovered by day 3. This from a regular cyclist(??!! LOL) Some bikes are newer, some a bit more worn but always enough to choose from). The seat hight easy to adjust and the app allows you to report a fault if the bike you take and release is faulty, you park it back in and select another code. I was too excited and got going before properly reading and understanding the best and most effective way to use the bikes. My advice NEVER leave your BIKE UNATTENDED,always park it back in the Santander unit and the next bike for hire will not be far from where you are going. Mine was stolen and I paid the £300!!

Good coverage (sctrictly downtown). PREPOSTEROUS extra charges, not too well communicated. Paid the daily rent and merrily cycled away to find out from my bank a week later that I had to pay another 4 GBP per hour. I got no notification when returning/picking up a bike. Could have taxied it...
