After living in the area for 38 years I never even knew this place existed! Walked around swan pool many times and never came across this place one! It’s a little out of the way to the usual route around the pool or to Dartmouth park but I suppose it worth a look and a read about the past history of the area! So if your out walking your dog or with the kids it’s worth a little detour to have a look!

Ruins of Sandwell Priory in Sandwell Valley County Park. Seen on a walk around the park. Between Park Lane and a bridge over the M5 motorway. Just stone ruins above the ground. Thanks to digs in 1980s. It closed during the Reformation.
