His mastery of composition and light make for stunning photographs that you'll love. I highly recommend Sam and would love to work with him again! :) Planning: I contacted Sam to help with engagement photos when I was visiting Tokyo with my now fiancée! Communicating with him in the planning process was very smooth and collaborative. He first took the time to understand my vision and then shared his experienced suggestions for locations and types of shots. And wow, the end products are beautiful as you can see in his portfolio and social accounts. Sam was very quick and thorough responding via email. He also coordinated with us on WhatsApp via both text messages and voice recordings which made the connection feel personal and efficient. Day of Shoot: On the day of the shoot, Sam was friendly and patient. He shared tips on posing and made it very comfortable for us. Sam's genuine enthusiasm made it feel like we were hanging out with a good friend who happened to also be taking our engagement photos. Additionally, Sam was focused and adaptive. Not only did he know his locations, he also had multiple backup plans which made us feel confident and never rushed. We had a wonderful time! Delivery: Sam surprised us with a quick turnaround of sample photos for us to share with friends and family. He then shared the final edits for us which he prepared both web and print files on a password protected site. All throughout the process, he was highly and dependable. TLDR: Book Sam. I highly recommend Sam for your photography needs! We met Sam for a 2 hour photoshoot in Tokyo and it was nothing but a pleasant experience. His photos are so beautiful. The soft lighting, the pop of color, and how natural the couples in his photos look are what drew me to work with him. Our photos turned out even more beautiful than we could've imagined. It also really helped to have his direction for posing since my husband and I are not the most natural in front of a camera. Sam is super nice, communicates clearly and timely via email, and always was available to offer his opinion. I can't thank him enough for being flexible to get the best timed photos for sakura season. The turnaround time for the photos was very timely as well! We were so lucky to have Sam in Tokyo!

Sam did my family portraits during our family trip in Japan. To my knowledge Sam splits his time between England and Japan now. I had lived in Japan for a few years requested for several backgrounds. Sam was really knowledgeable for locations around Tokyo that would fit my requests. We ultimately went with Asakusa due to the density and variety of aesthetics around the Sensoji shrine. He was also knowledgeable about the time of day and the local holidays to know when would be a good time to shoot. When you're on vacation, these are really important to know when our availability is very limited! The photos came out superb from composition, color, crispness, and overall feeling. He captured us perfectly and will highly recommend him to anyone!

Sam is a fantastic photographer and I would highly recommend him to anyone. Sam was brilliant in his communication, he replied to our messages promptly and kept us updated throughout the process of booking, shooting and receiving the photos. Sam arrived early and was really clear in his instructions. He’s so friendly and put us at ease in front of the lens. We were very nervous as we’d never had professional photos taken before, but Sam was the absolute best and made it a great experience for us. We are thrilled with our photos and I could not fault any part of the whole experience - absolute 5 star experience and we hope to hire Sam again in the future.

We had an incredible couple photoshoot with Sam in London. He was so engaged from the start and easy to communicate with pre and post the shoot. On the day of the shoot, he made us feel comfortable and was super accommodating and patient. He truly went above and beyond in every aspect and the whole experience was just wonderful.
