    I have had the pleasure (and muscle pain) of working with Sam over the last 12 weeks. The results I have seen in that relatively short time have been incredible. My brief to Sam was that I wanted to improve my core and overall strength as well as loose a few pounds. The exercises he chose, allow me to see tangible results, such as plank time, number of repetitions, or increase in the weight used. Sam has this clever knack of pushing you to achieve more than you believe your capable of in a firm yet friendly manner. I have certainly realised that my brain was getting in the way! For me I also like the science behind certain exercises and to understand the what and why of how it all works, Sam explains things confidently and thoroughly.     (In a loud American self help voice) Just over 1 year in, i'm over 2 stone lighter, i've learnt a new skill, no fad diets. How did i do it? I used the Sam Rickman method. In all seriousness, i moved to the forest from London a year and a half ago, i'd gained a good amount of lock down weight, i hate the gym and i'm not sporty, But Sam (AKA Lemmy, any motorhead fans will see where i'm coming from) has taught me how to box, and has guided my wayward diet to the extent i've lost 2.5 stone. No stupid diets, i still enjoy wine and cheese, and yes i finally enjoy exercising. Cheer's Mush (thats a local word Lemmy taught me)

    great guy. we started from a low level, and are making really good progress. we do one hour a week, and then get homework! my wife was nervous of doing some of the exercises to begin with - but he has worked with her to build her confidence. and we both feel it is making a difference.

    I was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis from the age of 3 & have struggled with my breathing on a daily basis. Ten years ago I had a double lung transplant which changed my life. I have been training with Sam for 12 years or so now. Sam's assistance meant I remained well enough to receive the transplant & he kept me strong enough to endure the gruelling recovery process. He pushed me, but never beyond my limits which is important with my condition. Since the transplant I haven't looked back & Sam has continued to be inventive in our workouts & motivate me to push myself. Even though I am fit & well now, exercise is a vital part of my ongoing treatment regime & I couldn't do it without Sam. We have been focusing on increasing my lung function & I look forward to my PT sessions & ALWAYS leave with a sense of accomplishment. So huge thanks to Sam - I will definitely be a client for life!

    Been seeing Sam for 8 years or more now. Can’t really say much more than that, think that speaks for itself. Personally I love the Thai, but Sam is really good at mixing things up and keeping everything fresh and interesting. I’m 55 and fit as a fiddle, so he’s clearly doing something well! He also happens to be a really likeable and personable guy, easy to get on - despite the in-built sadism of all PTs ;o) He’s also clearly very patient as he’s put up with my moaning and inane chatter for 8+ years. Can’t recommend him highly enough.

    It's been a dream of mine to join the Royal Navy for a long time now. I started training with Sam around 6 months ago now as a very unfit person. I could not run to save my life, I had no get up and go, and I had no drive to change my life. After these 6 months of hard work, I am very close to achieving my goals and I have no one else to thank but Sam. He has given me workouts to do at home and has changed my diet massively. I have also gained a lot of self confidence which is something I can say I have never had before. You can have a laugh but when it is time to get on with the work, you get on with it due to Sam's motivation. I would recommend Sam to anyone. He is an amazing person trainer.

    I have been working out with Sam for two months now. I had been working out on my own for 18 months prior to us working together and working with Sam has done more good in that 2 months than the entire 18 months previously. Sam is very knowledgeable, and is always available to text to gain a bit of extra insight - whether it’s which weights to buy or insight on fitness tips. I couldn’t recommend working out with Sam more.
