    We visited Saltmarshe Hall for a good friend's wedding. We stayed in the Gardener's Cottage, which is less than a 5 minute walk from the main hall, but still part of the grounds. The cottage was lovely, quaint and homely. It comes with it's own garden, which was lovely in the sunshine. The hall itself was beautiful, along with the walled garden and the rest of the grounds. The service at the venue was great! We couldn't fault it; plus the wedding couple has the best time.

    We were there for a family wedding but didn't actually stay overnight. Family had booked the complete hotel, this meant that children were able to have the run of the house without too much discipline , grandchildren, nieces and nephews had a whale of a time. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was good and a number of allergies were catered for successfully. Very theatrical family with unusual food tastes so unusual menu, but all was beautifully prepared and presented. Be prepared for a drive right into the country along single track roads quite disconcerting for us southern townies!! Loved the place.
