Lovely secluded site away from the road. The facilities provided were adequate and clean, but no hot water in either the sink or washbasin which was a pity. How you would manage to wash dishes without your own supply of hot water. Great area for walking and some lovely pubs etc within a short distance. Thanks

Lovely level grass site with many walks from the site. The river wall, Heybridge Basin, canal path. Fishing lakes and nature reserve walks are great. Perhaps the previous reveiwer didn't do her homework. The site has a map on their notice board 🤦♀️The facilities were updated during the winter, with new fittings and decoration. Double glazed windows and doors. It's kept nice and clean. The owners are helpful and friendly too.

Rather expensive for what it offers. Toilet facilities very poor, cold, tatty and outdated! Poorly signposted and nowhere to walk from the campsite.

Small site with a shower and toilet, not a good site when it is wet. floods easily as drainage is poor. Still has electricity pay as you go

A lovely CL site. We rarely stay at CLs but as we had just bought a new motorhome we wanted to try it out fully. The booking went smoothly and we received a warm welcome and directions to our pitch. There was a basic building with a toilet and shower but unfortunately the shower was out of order on our visit. Unusually the electricity was on a pay as you go meter. This was not so convenient but did make you think twice about heating and hot water. We were quite careful and it cost us £5 per day which I didn't resent paying under the current energy crisis. The site was perfect for exploring the waterside footpaths and dogs were welcome. In fact, the site is next to a field which was just perfect for short and longer walks too. The owner of the site was friendly and accommodating and kindly let us park our motorhome there on the day we were leaving so we could meet friends and have lunch before we left. Thank you so much for a really enjoyable stay on a lovely site in a beautiful area.

I can’t speak for the grounds, but i can say that the man that answered the phone is beyond rude, and salty. I guess it’s the sea air. Manners are free and nice to have ✌️➕❤️⭐️✨🌟✨
