9th May. Tonight’s train from Waterloo to exeter stopped in Salisbury and here is a brief summary of the total inability of the station managers to make any decision and or do anything to help 100 stranded passengers. Complaint Train from Waterloo to Templecombe 19:20 stooped in Salisbury and we were left on the train with no messages as to how long the stop would be. The engines were then turned off and we were still not told anything. We then got off the train only to find out from the station master that he had know the train was not going anywhere for the last 2 hours and people had been taking taxis for the last 2 hours. Both station managers were 100% useless and did not communicate at all and could not even make the decision to get all the passengers off the train. Eventually they did get all passengers off the train but they could not divide the passengers into groups so that they could tell how many were going to each station. The passengers had to arrange themselves into groups By station. The station managers then made a total mess of filling up the waiting taxis and took a ridiculous longtime telling people to get into taxis. The station managers gave the impression that they were trying to take as long as possible in order that the passengers would get angry. Their inefficiency resulted in several empty taxis leaving the station without collecting any of the waiting passengers as I assumed they also got so frustrated with the chaos.

Modest waiting room with heating and a coffee shop which closes at 17:30. Toilets available and free. Great connections for the South and west. Car park a little cramped.

Sincere thanks to the station team tonight who had to deal with cancelled trains leaving dozens of Exeter bound folk stranded with you around 6pm. Thanks for organising our onward journeys so quickly & efficiently.Great work in extraordinary circumstances. Very much appreciated.

Although the trains are big and helpful to get around , but there is luck of seat and very hot or cold depending on the weather. It's also unhelpful when your train is delayed or cancelled.

Yesterday, I arrived at Salisbury station at about 01:15 coming from London. Since I missed a train, I should have waited for 5 hours to catch the second one to my final destination. A staff member refused to allow me to wait and asked me to leave. He did not even allow me to make a call asking for help and chased me till I left the station completely and it was freezing cold outside. My question is why tickets are sold that way if you are not allowed to stay at the station that time?
