FAQ

What types of procedures do your endoscopists specialize in?

We offer a range of endoscopic procedures including upper and lower GI endoscopies, bronchoscopies, and endoscopic ultrasounds. Our endoscopists have expertise in diagnosing and treating various gastrointestinal and respiratory conditions.

Is the hospital accredited by organizations like The Joint Commission or the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities?

As a hospital in the United Kingdom, we are accredited by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which is an independent regulator of health and social care services in England. The CQC inspects and rates healthcare providers based on various criteria, including safety, effectiveness, and patient experience.

What is the average wait time for appointments and procedures at your military hospital?

As a civilian hospital, we do not have information on the wait times for military hospitals. However, we strive to provide timely access to care for our patients. Our scheduling team works to find appointment times that are convenient for our patients and we offer a range of appointment options, including virtual visits.

What is the hospital's policy on involving parents in their child's care and treatment decisions?

We believe that involving parents in their child's care and treatment decisions is essential for providing the best possible care. We encourage parents to be actively involved in their child's care and to ask questions and express concerns. Our healthcare providers work collaboratively with families to develop individualized care plans that take into account the child's medical needs and the family's preferences and values.

What is your patient satisfaction rating and feedback process?

We value feedback from our patients and their families and use this feedback to improve the quality of our services. We regularly survey our patients to assess their satisfaction with their care and treatment. Patients can also provide feedback through our patient liaison service, which serves as a point of contact for patients who have concerns or complaints. We take all feedback seriously and use it to make improvements to our services.

Shocking lack of care in the Laverstock ward. Bad food, staff with little knowledge or care. My relative came out worse than when she went in, surely this is not the role of a hospital! The food needs sorting - using tax payers' money to pay expensive agencies for bad quality, brown stodge that patients cannot eat, is pointless and a waste of money. This does not help patients.

  • Me-not you.

Does anyone at this hospital answer the phone or even reply to left answer-phone messages, iv left countless messages on both the eye clinic and orthopaedic dept answer phones and not had 1 reply (and yes iv left my phone and hospital number), after over 30 calls iv yet to actually speak to anyone other than the main switchboard and even that rings for 5 mins before you get an answer.

Many thanks to the amazing team at Salisbury District Hospital. I could see that the A and E department was under a ton of pressure and yet they remained composed and professional at all times. You are all superhero’s and I am eternally grateful

Possibly the worst health care known. Diabetic centre are useless, have no idea of on what each other are doing, and (a first for me) Consultants dont know when one of his patients have be admitted into the hospital with sugar levels so low, the Paramedics state she is luck to get here alive... And still dont bother with her. Have the manager of the centre state "wel you never had someone like me on the case". Nothing done (as normal) No one is bothered in this place, a waste of NHS money. Moving care to save her life.
