We got several quotes and - before even having received SDG’s quote - felt they were the right ones for the job. My husband is very hands on and a touch pedantic with his own workmanship and so expects nothing less from others. In fact, it’s rare we actually have anyone else do anything because he is so hands on and the fear of the unknown! Steve came in and measured up, as did the others, but we especially liked that there was no sales patter or smooth-talking, he just got right on with the task at hand and was in and out in no time. We received the quote in good time, paid the deposit and had the start date / expected duration in good time also. The company has great customer service, Emma is great and really on the ball, and their automated update system is brilliant for keeping you updated! Come the day of the work starting, the guys were at the door right on time and just cracked right on with the work, only stopping for lunch. I came home from work (my husband having stayed home that day) and was absolutely mind blown at how quickly they had got so many windows done!! When it was my day to stay home, as a woman it can be a bit daunting having strangers in your house, but the guys are lovely and we had a really good laugh (mostly at the apprentice’s expense! Haha!). They’ve finished the work now and I’m actually gutted to see them go as they’re extremely hardworking, polite and decent people. Safe to say if we come to do any further works in the future (i.e. an extension) we will be getting these guys round, no question! The only negative I can say about their work is that they’ve done such an amazing job that it’s just highlighted all the rest of the work the house needs now! Haha! Thanks so much again guys and all the best for the future!

SDG have recently taken on some work replacing doors and windows in our new home. It's a big project in a house that has seen some 'years of weathering' since its construction in the 1930s. We are extremely picky, keen to have the best quality work along side good value for money and to have a solid foundation of TRUST in the people we choose to work on our home. Communication is spot on, Steve is friendly and the quality of the workmanship is clearly something that pride is taken in. Our neighbours have also commented on how refreshing it was to see a tidy site during the installation. Any questions or queries we had were answered in a timely and professional way. We have now instructed Steve and Salford Double Glazing on the next phase of our window replacements and we look forward to having them complete the whole property throughout 2023. Some industries including glazing specialists are flooded with competition who will sell you the world to get your money yet Steve & Emma not only sold us a product, they sold us their trust as a business and thus far we could not be happier.
