First visit to Salford City v Stockport. From purchasing match tickets, chatting to the stewards and Salford fans, this was a pleasant experience. Parking around the ground is an issue as it’s residential and permit only in areas. We stood up in the west stand terrace, which had good views and good food and drink outlets behind the stand.

It was OK as we won so let's be picky. The away end food bar was cash only so the three of us scraped up enough shrapnel to buy a portion of chips between us. The toilets are very basic. Clearly away fans don't buy programmes as I had to go all the way to the home end corner and actually bought the last one which was a bit battered. We were all searched as we went in but someone still managed to get a smoke bomb in for after Gillingham scored. Parking as we knew was a labour of love but we gave up looking for the park and ride and managed to find a side street 20 minutes walk away. Wouldn't want to be on a packed heaving terrace there.
