This Indian resteraunt has been going for over 30 years with the same owner/manager. There is always a friendly but formal welcome and the food is excellent. Even if I did not live 400m away I would still travel to eat here.

I can only post this photo as I already inhaled my Hareleye and the Allo Gobi. The dine-in experience is definitely one to try - everything was a fantastic dine-in treat. Told my partner Bangladeshi curries are far more refined than any curry there is - and this place in Dorridge is one true gem.

Not great. Had takeaway , wrong rice. Only one prawn in dish. Won't be having another takeaway from here.

First and last time going. The locations great the waiter was very nice looked after us well but the food was terrible, such a shame. We ate a little not to offend the chef but reading past reviews it was similar to what other have said. Disappointed. Given 2 stars because of the waiter not the food.

Having eaten here before i was expecting a decent meal but was left very disappointed. A paneer dish consisted of what appeared to be a sauce that you could buy from a supermarket containing a few chunks of undercooked paneer, much the same with the mixed vegetable curry - a small amount of potato in a near identical sauce. Chicken balti ditto, still, at least the naans were ok.

As the waiter gave us our menus he asked us to leave a review, so here it is... This is, without exception, THE WORST INDIAN FOOD I HAVE EVER TASTED, and potentially the worst food I've ever eaten at a restaurant. Unfortunately we had arrived in Dorridge to find the well-reviewed Chinese restaurant we had intended going to was closed. As options were limited and it was getting late we decided to take a chance on Saleem Bagh, which at the time was virtually empty save for a table for 2 eating in the window. Admittedly several more tables came in after us and we got the impression some were regulars, quite why anyone would patronise here regularly is beyond me! All of the the food painfully was bland and surprisingly devoid of virtually any seasoning, the quality was poor and the curries looked and tasted like they had used tinned soup as a base, adding minimal herbs & spices in a very poor attempt to add flavour. We also got the impression some of it was pre-prepared well in advance and cooked from frozen. £4 for a pint that wasn't actually a pint of lukewarm flat budget brand cola. Frankly, you could cook better Indian food than this at home, a ready meal from Sainsbury's opposite would've been a better option - wild horses would not drag us back!
