Took the Elephant trail for a walk with the children. We had a lovely walk but got lost as we'd taken a wrong turn and crossed I to another walk whilst trying to get back to the cafe/car park etc. Managed to get Google maps on my phone and we made it back. It just needs some better signage. Little legs get tired easily. A few more benches along the routes would help. Cafe closes at 430pm, take your own drinks with you if you're going for a walk in the afternoon as you'll probably not be back in time to purchase before they close.

Would be 5 if not for the issues paying for parking. No signal for card payments on ringo, so if you don't have up to 8 quid in change on you, the only pay machine is at the main hut in the visitor centre. Once the challenge of paying is complete, you can enjoy the very pleasant woodland walks and trails. A lot of options and all paths I used were very well maintained.

There's a trail for everyone from wheelchairs to horserider, long runs or short walks, lovely place. Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly and fresh water for them by the visitor's centre.

Superb woods to walk, ride and play. Gruffalo trail is fun for kids with play house/dens half way around. Family cycle track with picnic benches along it is smooth and wide. Not too challenging for riders. Parking is a little expensive I think, but if it's reinvested into the facility than I am cool with it.
