I am new to St Mary's which is undoubtedly a very beautiful church and I was pleased to have discovered it. However, after the service, Mgr Phelim Rowland was outside to speak with parishioners; I put my hand out to shake his and he limply obliged, as if it were a chore, and did not even look at me, let alone give any eye contact. I was very disappointed that a new person would be treated in this way and felt rather upset on my way home. It seems that Mgr Rowland picks and chooses who he gives the time of day to. Thus, I can only give 2 stars. Priests are important to a church and after this experience, I don't wish to return.
