Just purchased a replacement scooter for my wife as previous one had seen better days. The assistance given by all staff is fantastic. If you need anything for the less mobile among you then this is the place to go! I should add that I have been there several times for different reasons and you can't beat the service you get!

Bought a wheelchair for mum just over a year back. Bought the same chair as was lightweight, foldable and held up to 18 stone. The first chair the main support snapped in half after mum got up which could’ve been fatal as could’ve easily impaled her . We thought it was wear and tear. We took it into the shop who said it was ‘unfixable’ so as said bought a replacement (DevilBliss). Within the first month major bolts were coming loose so they sent an en engineer. About a month later the foot plate just fell off in the street so they repaired it. Engineer also found the bolts were loose yet again. Next the brake fell off which he fixed and tightened up the bolts again. Think we had about 3-4 engineer call outs. Although the chair was still well in a year guarantee they said they weren’t sending out an engineer again and we’d have to pay. Never mind I fixed the continuing falling off brake myself and tightened up any bolts that were coming loose. When it was just over it’s year guarantee the main support again snapped in half. My brother got hold of them as obviously a manufacturing fault and dangerous. It wasn’t heavy usage, just used to walk to the end of the village and back most days which isn’t far. Safehands told my brother this part was fixable and can either get an engineer out for £80 or buy the part for £25 and fix himself. They reckoned the main support under the chair wasn’t part of the frame so holding no responsibility which is ridiculous! Why did they tell us it wasn’t fixable when we bought in the first one then having to buy a whole new chair is the question! Went to Care Co in Canterbury to get a different chair as obviously this one or the company can be trusted. I told them all the troubles I had with Safehands and they were truly disgusted. The ‘folding’ bit under the chair is part of the frame and they were shocked Safehands didn’t write out an exempt form for the VAT which is about 25% or more. I will never buy from Safehands again or recommend them as they’re obviously not honest or fair. I’ll be going elsewhere!

Fantastic customer service, I was very nervous and unsure of what mobility scooter I needed. Vicky explained and showed us a range of different options, I felt like I wasn't rushed or pushed into buying a particular brand or product. She took her time to explain everything and showed us in depth how to use and dismantle the scooter. Nothing seemed problem and I left feeling confident with my new purchase. All members of staff were friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend.

did explain they was only one month of warranty on a £600 scooter and even the insurance they provided free for a month would cover any thing apart from me running over someone .as insurance covered flat tyres it had solid .please note we did call back after and asked as wernt informed when purchased to be told by the lady in the shop there wasn't any warranty this is why the review was posted

Unfortunately my disabled neighbour brought a second hand chair from this place. The hand set went wrong, So they were going to see if a another handset was available. Unfortunately it was obsolete. So instead of informing my neighbour they left them to ring up several weeks later. To find out this news. They have promised her that they would come and take it away. As you can guess. They're still waiting. Very poor customer service

Such lovely staff and no hard sell, they genuinely want to help your relatives. Safe hands is like a candy shop if you have a relative who has had an operation leaving their mobility limited. They can quite literally supply you with everything that you need to have to make your loved ones lives easier. Amanda in particular has been so helpful. Thank you
