Parked in the Visitors Centre and someone; apparently driving a Engie Fabricom pick up, crashed into the back of my car and was too cowardly even to leave a note. I reported it and the site manager who said he knew the director of Engie fabricom. I was then told there was no footage. Upon contacting Semcorps I was contacted by someone claiming to be a solicitor who was dealing with a request for CCTV footage. (They would be able to afford better CCTV if they can afford £200 an hour for a solicitor to deal with CCTV footage requests, they would probably offer to fix the damage if they were that well off too). They do now have footage now but it isnt clear enough (a petrochemical plant with CCTV so poor it cant even pick up a logo on a van?) and in any event they dont release CCTV footage the guy was quick to start quoting statue about how he has no legal obliagtion to release it, even my own data (ie me driving in and out of the car park) which I am sure is allowable under the data protection act. So putting it all together dont bring your own car and as per their own account their CCTV is useless, they will cover for each other. That sort of self preservating attitude of middle to upper management is probably why the place is becoming more and more of a ghost town, they could have easily given the footage but I am sure it was worth a few pints which was probably the reason why the guy didnt leave a note to begin with... Pathetic
