Visited this shop after a too-long interval and was delighted with my purchases - 9 of 'em!. My subject is film history and was so spoilt for choice I had to stop when there was the danger of slipped disc / hernia / collapsed rucksack. Apologies for not replacing some of the books I reluctantly left (due to weight, not price) as wasn't sure exactly where they went back. My friend very pleased with his haul, too. Guv'nor very friendly and helpful, particularly as he seems on the verge of getting swamped with stock. And not only books - something for nearly everyone! Distinct contrast to another Island shop which shall be nameless, but some of whose (admittedly very nice) books were a bit too fruitily priced for our liking...

Unwelcoming, over-stuffed and chaotic feeling (mostly) second hand bookshop.

A wonderful labyrinthine bookshop. Find the staircase and head upstairs. Good prices, massive range of topics and unusually also has secondhand magazines

Exceptional book shop. New as well as second hand books. With reference to the second hand selection, there are books everywhere over three floors. It's a fascinating place. I spent several hours poking around the shelves and boxes of material. My only very minor criticism is that some of the labelling and signage needs updating a bit.
