Ryan has built me 2 sets of wheels. One for my vintage steel bike, and one for my modern road bike. Both times he took the time to discuss what I was looking for from the wheels: performance, use, rider weight, spoke count, look etc. The vintage ones were built to look like the originals, with large-flange hubs, shiny rims and 36 spokes. They look perfect on the bike with all the advantages of modern components. I'm really pleased with the effort Ryan took to get these right for the period look, and they ride really well. The modern ones are equally great. I blinged them up with orange hubs and nipples to match the bike. Slightly lighter than the OEM wheels and they feel so much better on the road. Ryan is a great wheel builder, he takes care that you get the wheels you want. I'll be going back to him for my next pair of wheels. Oh, and his YouTube channel is worth watching.

LIFE SAVERS! Last week I was part of a team going for a LEJOG in 7 days. On day 2, Exeter to Worcester, one of the guys bust a spoke. A straight pull bladed which are never in stock! I rang Ryan builds wheels to see if they could help and despite their busy schedule they committed to repairing the wheel for us. 30mins after the breakage our support vehicle arrived, within 3 hours of the breakage the wheel was repaired and back in use! What outstanding service and we are so thankful for their help! We continued to cover the milage and completed our challenge successfully! 👌
