My daughter started working with Ruth beginning of year 11, she has been finding the videos very helpful and I believe Ruth’s explaining the literature texts allowed Derin to explore different interpretations. Overall working with Ruth has improved my daughters understanding of the texts greatly. She was only able to attend the classes online however she has said it was actually even more convenient, and she was happy to work in the group. Ruth impressed me with her professional but at the same time close approach to Derin’s and our needs. Like when we needed a private lesson she made herself available to help out. We are happy to work with Ruth. We find her professional and quite knowledgeable in her area.

Ruth has been teaching my Son English Language which is a subject he struggles in. Ruth has made his understanding of English Language so much easier. My daughter was really worried about the poetry element of the gcse exam. We had a chat with Ruth and decided the best thing for her was to work through the video lessons in her own time. She said that they have been so helpful and she recently got her highest mark in a poetry English assessment. Her confidence has grown so much and she is so much less anxious about the exams now. We are definitely going to buy the other courses that Ruth has done as they are perfect to work on wherever you are I would highly recommend them to anyone considering using them too.

Ruth has been an amazing tutor for my daughter. She has an inate ability to connect with young people and engage them. For my daughter, working with Ruth has not only helped her better her understanding of English but also we have seen her overall confidence grow, which is wonderful. She is able to apply the analysis skills that Ruth has helped her develop to her other subjects too so we have seen better achievements across the board! The mixture of pre teach video lessons and in class learning allowed my daughter to work at her own pace at home, playing back the videos as often as needed, to - in her own words -"get all the important parts." She was then able to discuss and ask any questions on this in the class. Ruth's feedback is detailed, individual, precise and constructive, so my daughter has always felt proud of her achievements but also known what to work on. I just can't thank Ruth enough !
