Thought I'd try this place as recommended. Opted for baked potatoe with chilli and cheese. No thank you when I gave the money. Potatoe was lumpy and chilli was warm not hot. Will not be going back.

Ordered a simple Jam on toast, gave me normal toast with butter. I went back to the place to say the order was wrong. I'm told i said something else and i said "why would i come back if this is what i ordered?"and they literally opened the bread which was cold and put the jam onto it. Useless with no customer service skills and hygiene.

I have been using this little cafe since I started work in the area a few months ago and visit it regularly - I've spent a fair bit of cash in there to say the least. Until now I've not had any problems. I was prepared to overlook the irresponsible nature with which the meat would be handled followed by vegetarian options with no gloves... However, today I popped in and simply asked for 2 x slice of bread and butter and was told no can do. I buy 2 x slice of toast in a morning at this place regularly and the bread for this was still on the shelf at this time. I imagine said bread will just be toasted in the morning, if it doesn't get thrown away. I'd have been happy to pay for "toast" and simply had it not undergo the associated cremation. This just seems silly to me to be honest and I just won't be buying anything from there ever again.

Firstly, wanted a quick bite before heading into work so wanted a quick service. I had walked in and the lady at the till wasn’t even paying attention. She just looked at me after I walked in and had a weird expression on her face. Didn’t even say hello or say how can I help. Asked for a cheese and onion toasty. Once I said what I wanted she proceeded to talk to her colleague for 1 minute before even starting to make the toasty - completely rude firstly and not attentive to the customer at all. No care into making the food and even being courteous to the customer! Even when she made the toasty, she forgot to put the onions in there even when I asked for a cheese and onion toasty - although I’m not surprised because she wasn’t listening in the first place. Ahe didn’t even say how much it was, just put it in the card machine. As she entered the details in the card machine, she just walked off without saying thanks or not even a smile.. and then I paid and waited for her to come back so I could give her the bad feedback but guess what folks, not at all. Word of mouth is big, and bad news travels fast! Lost a customer, won’t be going there again! You guys at rustic have a lot to improve upon. Terrible service and below average cheese toasty
