Walk past this church most days but have never gone inside but enjoy the outside. Walking past tonight I has upset by the fact there was red paint daubed and the sign wasn't there. This church has been here a long time and is part of our neighbourhood. Regards Rebekah ✨️

It was a long way for me to find the 'right' church. It was like- I don't quite feel Holly spirit in here :/, or, I don't like the way priest talks, I don't think it should be this way, I don't understand; Church in the house? Weird :/, not quite my thing, etc. Please, don't listen to your inner-voice like I did! If you feel like the church doesn't look right (no 'kupols', or other 'important' things are missing, or it is not quite 'right for you', or the priest is too strict, or not as you think he should be, or anything else! Please PUSH THESE THOUGHTS AWAY, as they can put you away from the church, from the Christ forever! Give yourself a chance! Ask God to lead you, and to give you patience to understand what it's all about. You will see, Your life will change, I promise you! You won't feel like you are wasting your time (like I was feeling before). You will be a better, happier person with more friends and more suppor than you can imagine! It will not happen in a month, in two (it can, I suppose, but I wasn't that lucky :). It took about a year for me. IT WASN'T EASY when you are trying to listen a prayer and in your head some other thoughts are dancing around (shopping, what to cook today, this women in front of me doesn't wear a proper skirt, or I love her shoes, etc, etc, etc)! It is not easy to understand prayers in old Russian language BUT, ITS A JOURNEY,a journey which takes time, time, which WILL SAVE YOUR SOUL! Before, I didn't understand the importance of Icons, the fact that you HAVE TO go to the church, and many more 'I don't 't think so', 'I don't want to', and 'Why?'. It's all gone now!!! I understand, I WANT TO GO TO THE CHURCH, I FEEL it NOW! I am going to the church not because I have to, but because I WANT TO, and the main- I NEED TO! Saying this, sometimes, I still have got days when I am lazy, I am too busy for the church (not for shopping though; anything, but not to go to the church! I am just human, I suppose :)! But, I SEE the need NOW and THE IMPORTANCE of GOING TO THE CHURCH, which I never felt before! Longer I am away from the church, less I want to go there, and more I get angry, irritable, even greedy, at times! I know, I AM NOT AS GOOD 'human being' when I am not going to the church,as when I coming back home from the church. And my close people see it, and definitely feel it! What I wanted to say?! Sorry, it took a bit long...IT TAKES TIME AND EFFORT, but YOU CAN DO IT! YOU CAN FIND GOD and feel 'RIGHT' in this church! I did it! I am not the most organised and patient person in the world, plus terribly opinionated and sceptical, but, if I managed to get to this stage, anyone can! It is not 'the final stage' but, as I said, it is a journey which takes time, effort, and patience! Anyone can feel a Holly Spirit, and be a better, happier person! Many people would say- what a crazy person/fanatic wrote this 's...t',! Yes, I am, crazy about God! I know He exists. I feel it, I know it, I wish you feel the same one day! I also understand people who will criticize, I have been there myself, and I have been criticising people like I am now, believe me or not ! So, no problems ;)! Remember, there are easier ways in this life and many of us tend to chose these ways, but, IT'S ONLY ONE WAY TO SAVE OUR SOULS. Believing in God but not going to the church? I won't judge you, but I will say it is wrong (I want to be honest therefore I would express my opinion)! It is your choice, it is your path! God Bless us all and give us patience and strengths!
